LAUNCHING!
THE FIRST EVER RAINFOREST CHALLENGE

The aim for launching the first-ever Rainforest Kids Challenge is to educate the children about the importance of the standing rainforest and encourage them to be part of a community that cares about the rainforests and take action to restore them for a better world.

To do this, we will use Design for Change’s FEEL, IMAGINE, DO, SHARE educational framework for creating impact, its network of schools and children and publish projects on the scalable I CAN Marketplace platform.

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE ?

  • 01
    A TEAM WITH THE
    I CAN MINDSET

All you need is a team of students and an educator (who must be an adult) with the I CAN spirit.

The students’ age should preferably range from 8 to 18.
  • 02
    USE THE
    FIDS FRAMEWORK

To participate, each team needs to follow the Design for Change FIDS framework (Feel, Imagine, Do, and Share) to come up with solutions to what they think are the rainforest’s greatest challenges.

Please, remember to tell your story, considering the FIDS (Feel-Imagine-Do-Share) template. Submit a video saying more about yourself. It doesn't have to be a professional video, it can have your own touch/ brand, after all, we just want to know a little more about you. :)

THE TIMELINE

The Design for Change stories are judged based on the following variables:

Easy to replicate Innovative Subject to technological development Scalable Sustainable FIDS framework

The DFC judges look for stories led by children, where they choose to tackle challenges that directly bother them. The judges also look for evidence of children who engage with the people directly affected by the challenge at hand and who understand their needs and perspectives to design a solution for that challenge.
